LeanConf 2013 was a 2-day Lean Start-up, Lean UX and Product conference for entrepreneurs, designers and innovators, attended by over 150 people from across the UK, Europe and the United States.
It took place at The Sharp Project across October 26th – 27th and the SharpFutures Talent Pool helped in running the event. The SharpFutures team and volunteers were onsite for the event to support the LeanConf staff with managing the event ensuring they had everything they needed in place, as well as posting on the #LeanConf hashtag.
LeanConf 2013 is a event with 30+ Lean Start-up experts delivering highly practical talks,
workshops, interactive sessions and Q+A panels. It was also a chance to meet and network with other members of the start-up community and to share knowledge, learn from each other and meet the person that can help you get to the next level with backing sponsors and partners such as The Business Growth hub and Techhub.
There was great variety in attendees and speakers such as:
- Des Traynor, Co-Founder and COO of Intercom who gave a presentation on ‘Product Strategy’
- Stephen Rapport, Founder at PactCoffee.com and CrashPadder (AirBnB, 2013) who gave a session and advise on starting up a company relating to experience from his own life.
- Andy Young, UK Country Lead at @Stripe, Co-Founder of @GroupSpaces who gave a session on ‘How not to drown with Startup advice’
Attendees of LeanConf 2013 all seemed to really enjoy and value the event as it was shown across Twitter during the event itself:
The event itself was extremely relevant to location as The Sharp Project’s community and tenants all sit within the same category of SME’s and small start-ups. LeanConf was a great success bringing in an international audience and driving the Creative and Digital Sector.
We’re looking forward to LeanConf 2014!
